Honoring Old Glory Flag Retirement Program
Apr, 01 2017 12am

Our flag, like each of us, has a life span. It is exceedingly important that when an American flag becomes worn and tattered, or is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, it should be decommissioned with solemnity and respect. Thompson Funeral Homes is pleased to partner with the Boy Scouts of America to retire American flags in a dignified way through the “Honoring Old Glory Flag Retirement Program.” Community members who wish to donate their tattered, torn or faded American flag(s) to the "Honoring Old Glory" Flag Retirement Program can bring their flag(s) to any one of the Thompson Funeral Homes locations listed below. The flag(s) will be registered for the program and great care will be taken to ensure that “Old Glory” is decommissioned honorably.
